Registering a New Account


Registering for a new account is a simple process. You can access the sign-up link here.

Signing up with JellyCell ® requires submitting your contact information, mobile phone information, and creating a new user ID. Once you submit your info, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address that you have provided. You must log into your email and approve the JellyCell ® registration email by clicking on the link shown within the email. 



Uploading User-Generated Content


Once you have created your account, log in and click on the link that reads My Account, which is located on the top right corner of the page. Your profile page will contain upload links on the lower left column of the page. There will be links for uploading ringtones, pictures, games  and videos. JellyCell ® is a user-generated mobile content site, therefore file size limitations are placed what can be uploaded.

Ringtones - Ringtones can be uploaded in in MP3 format. It is best to keep audio files small in size, or less than 30 seconds in order for those files to download quickly onto your mobile phone.

Pictures - Pictures can be uploaded in the following formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, and animated.gif. It is best to keep picture files small, so that appear correctly within your mobile phone. File limit restrictions are placed on the maximum file that an image can be uploaded. Avoid uploading desktop wallpapers to your mobile phone. These images are too large, and will not appear correctly on your mobile phone.

Videos - The most popular video format for mobile content is .3GP.  The .3GP format is widely compatible with several mobile phones. Videos can be uploaded in the following formats: .mpg, .wmv, .3gp, .avi, .flv, .mp4. It is best to keep video files small in size, so that they can be quickly downloaded to your mobile phone. Note: .flv videos can be viewed on JellyCell ® once uploaded, however this video format is not widely compatible with mobile phones.

Games - The most popular file formats for mobile games are .sis, .jad, and .jar. These mobile game formats are java-based and compatible with most mobile phones. However, these file formats are not compatible with iPhone.


Download User-Generated Content


Downloading mobile content is easy. After you have logged in, locate the file you want to download and click the red Download to PC button. A window will then appear confirming the file download. Accept the confirmation, and begin downloading. This feature works on both PC and Mac computers.


Sending Content to your Mobile Phone


After you have logged in, locate the content you want to download to your mobile phone, click on the blue Send to Phone button and enter your phone number. This will send a SMS text message with a URL of the file location, to your mobile phone. Follow the provided URL link to download the content to your mobile phone. Please note the following: JellyCell ® will not be charging you for this, however standard text messaging and data transfer rates do apply for the delivery of mobile content. These transfer rates are charged to you by your own mobile service provider.  Please check with your mobile service provider for further information on text and data transfer rates.


Mobile Phone Compability


Due to the vast array of mobile phones on the market, Jellycell ® can not positively guarantee that downloading content to your mobile phone will successful 100% of the time. There are many file size and file type restrictions placed on mobile devices that prohibit the downloading of all content types. The best approach is to follow the JellyCell ® star rating to view which files are the most widely downloaded by users, as well as reviewing the most popular user-generated content. These files are being accessed by most users in the JellyCell ® community and might prove to be the most compatibile with your mobile phone.




Setting Ringtones to your Mobile Phone


These are instructions for setting ringtones to your mobile phone, once the file has been downloaded.


Press Menu > My Stuff or My Media or My Files > Audio > Select the Downloaded File > Set as Ringtone


iPhone - Click "Download Ringtone for iPhone" - Drag the file to your iTunes "Ringtones" folder, and sync to your iPhone.

Android -
JellyCell ringtones are mp3 format. Yes, compatible with Android.

BlackBerry - JellyCell ringtones are mp3 format. Yes, compatible with BlackBerry.





Member Profile Page


You can access your member profile page with the My Account link on the top right corner of the site.




Editing Member Profile Page


Editing My Profile is as simple as entering your own personal preferences and details. When you are happy with your changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Update Profile.




E-Mail Notifications


You may disable these notifications by logging into your account and editing your profile settings under "Email Notifications".  Select NO to the notifications you do not wish to receive.




Account Cancellation


1) Log into your Account
2) Click "Edit Profile" located at the top of the page
3) Click Account Cancellation
4) Follow the instructions & confirm your account cancellation



Advertisements & Sponsored Listings


JellyCell will not be charging you for the utilization of the site, however standard text messaging and data transfer rates do apply for the delivery of mobile content.
